It's been 6 years already!

I just celebrated my 6 year anniversary with Gaylord Entertainment. I cannot believe I have been graduated for that long! Boy, I'm getting old. I look much different in this picture than I did on my first day of work 6 years ago...about 30lbs heavier! Yowsas! That's our CEO on the far right. He's a great guy and I've enjoyed working with him. After the meeting, he asked me (in his British accent) if I was absolutely sure I wasn't having twins. Ouch! Ha! I told him I was very sure there was only one baby in there...he's just very well fed!

Tate's Birthday

Nothing like an 8 and a half month pregnant girl at the bar in 80's gear. Nice! Luckily, I had a denim tuxedo I could throw on with some rad pink tights (thanks Sue). The above picture is of all of the girls and the second one is of just me and my drunk husband.

Office Baby Shower

Some ladies from my office threw a baby shower for me and Steve. It was very nice and alot of fun. In the above picture, you can tell that I'm very excited about these onesies.
Me and Steve on our way in to the party.

The gorgeous and yummy cake! It was so cute that I didnt want them to cut it...then...I remembered my constant sweet tooth and we dove right in.

5k

As the "wellness" gal at Gaylord, I had to coordinate a 5k event with our President/COO. He wanted to lead a team of Gaylord folks in a 5k in the community. Our event was this past Saturday and everything went really well. Steve, Eggroll, and I got to the race to set up at about 6a. At that time, it was 24 degrees outside. If you know me, you know that I hate being cold and I hate waking up early. Ha!
The sun came out and things warmed up a bit. The race went well. I walked it and finished it at about an hour! I was one of the last people to cross the line but hey, I did it! Eggroll enjoyed the walk but was very naughty all day. I hope people think that I will raise my kids better than I raised my dog!

The above picture is of Joanna, Dave (President), me, and my manager Shawn.

It was a great event and was a big success!

More clothes

Well, I dont have to say much about the above polo shirt my mom and dad gave to James. Steve was not tooooo happy but I think James will look adorable as he cheers on the rebs in this polo shirt! Hotty Toddy!
Who doesn't love seersucker, right? Mrs. Debbie Falterman gave me this precious outfit: a white polo shirt with seersucker pants. I am pretty sure they are size 3-6 months. I mean, REALLY! How can you resist! Ha!

Irish Lullaby

My dad's cousin, Betty, cross stitched this beautiful Irish Lullaby, framed it, and gave it to us at my baby shower in New Orleans. It looks perfect over our rocking chair. I love the lullaby and definitely appreciate the tie to my Irish roots. James' middle name is Patrick as a tribute to my late grandfather whose ancestors came to America from Ireland.

Also, there is a beautiful blanket that my Aunt Lois made for me. It's so delicate and precious. I love it.

closet caddy

This post is mostly for my mom. We were trying to figure out a good solution for storing the diaper changing supplies since the "changing table" is just a chest of drawers with a changing pad on top. There wasnt much room for anything else on the top of the chest so we found these canvas caddies at Babies R Us. We bought two and Mrs. Julie (my mom-in-law) sewed them together lengthwise for us. Now, we can store a ton of stuff (diapers, wipes, butt cream, burp cloths, etc)! When you open the closet door, it opens right next to the changing table. Very convenient and it was much cheaper than purchasing another table or something.

stuffed friends

My manager threw a beautiful baby shower for Steve and me last Friday. I will post those pictures as soon as I get them but in the meantime, here is a little lovey that she had monogrammed for James. I love it and put it with some of his other friends in his crib.

Bedding!

I am so lucky to have a mother-in-law with such a great talent! When I was about 2 months along in the pregnancy, Mrs Julie and I went to pick out fabric for James' bedding. I didnt know it was going to be a boy and wanted something gender neutral. I picked this fabric out and I love it. Mrs. Julie did a beautiful job and I brag that I have a "one of a kind" bedding set. The fabric is blue with brown swirly things and it also has little yellow dots. The dots combined with the yellow ties go perfect with the yellow sheet.

In this picture, you can see that the quilt she made has the fabric on one side and really soft brown velvet-like fabric on the other. It's so cozy!
