Oxford

We went to Oxford this past weekend for Susan's baby shower. My friend from college is having a boy in September as well. His name is Charles David and we can't wait to meet him. This was James' first road trip and he did pretty good. Luckily his Tauntie Katie was with me so she could take care of him if he started to get fussy. It took 6 hours on the way there and 5 hours on the way back. It should have been a 4 and half hour drive so that's not too bad.

We met my parents there and boy were they glad to see James. James was so excited to spend time with his nana and pops and is looking forward to seeing them again in July.

My dad took these pictures with his Iphone. Nana and Pops watched James for me while I got ready for the day.

New Pictures

I think James really likes our bed. I don't know if its because the mattress is way more comfortable than his or if it's because it has our smell on it. Or I think he might really like the fan. We might have to get Steve to install a fan in his room. Whatever works, right?

This picture is from this morning. I put him in his pack and play and I went to go take a shower. When I came back, I found him jammed up in the corner of the pack and play. This is NOT where I originally put him. I guess he is really starting to learn how to move with those big ole thighs. Look how happy he is! Oh, and let's not forget to mention my first born in the background. He's wearing his Harley vest because I gave him his flea medicaiton yesterday and I didnt want him rubbing it all over my carpet. Plus, he looks cool!

One word: Chill!

My buddy, Quinn

James met his friend Quinn yesterday and they had a great time. Quinn is almost 5 months old. Look how close in size they are and James is 2 months! I think I have a big baby!

Bath Time for Baby

This pretty much needs no words...

Laughing

James is starting to laugh and talk alot lately. Even in the middle of the night when I change his diaper, he'll start talking and laughing. It's hard for me to try to stay quiet and keep the "night-time" mood because he is so cute and funny. I keep trying to post a video of him laughing but I can't ever get it to work. So, here is a picture. Not nearly as good as a video but...

My Little Man

Auntie Katie bought James this ridiculous little button down. He looks like a little man. If you can't see in the picture, it has little embroidered bicycles on it.

Relaxing at the Pool

James went to hang out at the Falterman's pool and to see his Auntie. He didn't venture into the pool yet but he had a great time lounging on the lanai. When he gets a little bit older, he is going to swim like a little fish! Check out that physique!

Precious!

My Aunt Lois made this precious outfit for James. It's still a tiny bit big for him but it should fit him soon. This is something that we will treasure forever. (Please ignore my giant thighs- ha!)

Puttin on the Ritz

It's pretty hot outside so even though I'd like to take more walks during the day, it's just too darn hot. We might not have any where special to go but we still like to dress up! James is starting to fit in his big boy clothes (Thats what I call the outfits that are not just onesies). I've already sorted out the newborn clothes and put them away in the closet because he does not fit in them anymore. Sort of sad but I'm glad to see my little guy growing.
The below picture is of the polo shirt his Mimi (Mrs. Debbie) gave him. She gave him a pair of seersucker pants but his legs are too short for them yet. The seersucker shorts James is wearing in the pic came from one of Steve's family friends. He actually barely fits in these things. I'm shocked!
The octopus outift he is wearing below came from walmart. Steve and I went to Walmart the other day and I couldnt resist. The octopus is so cute and the colors are so summery. Notice his fancy socks that look like Chuck Taylors.
The outfit he has on in the below pic is from his Aunt Chalon. Thanks Aunt Chalon. The guitar is totally rad and is very fitting for a Nashville boy.
